The vascular surgery sector had a demand for better products. In the meantime, the product range has expanded beyond medical to include the categories of daily wear, sports and travel. Online orders are shipped from the Active Ants E-fulfilment centre in Roosendaal.
Market leader
"After our cooperation with MCS Fulfilment in Etten-Leur, we made a brief switch to another logistics partner", Wouter recalls. "But we have ambitions and we want to become market leader in Europe as well as in the Netherlands. The key then is to have your logistics in order and to be able to deliver to all countries. And Active Ants can do that. They meet our ambitions. They can facilitate our expansion in Europe. We are very satisfied with the way things are going now. Of course, there are points for improvement, but they are quickly picked up and implemented."
Collaboration
Wouter: "Cross border sales are very important to us. Apart from the Netherlands, our main markets are Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom. And in the winter season, Switzerland and Austria are added to that list. Our ski socks are very popular then. But we notice that the demand for our socks is increasing, not only in Europe but worldwide. That is why it is important that you can trust your fulfilment partner blindly. Our logistics team is in contact with its colleagues at Active Ants regarding the deliveries from the factory in Italy. They know exactly what to expect. This cooperation runs very smoothly. And that's good, because if the basis is not right, it's impossible to grow.
Challenge
We are growing fast," Wouter continues. But we are modest. We have a clear strategy. We started online with our own Shopify platform. Marketplaces like bol.com and Amazon in Germany and the UK play an important role in this. As far as we are concerned, Active Ants will take care of our fulfilment in an increasing number of countries. It would be great if our stock could soon be located in one of Active Ants' global fulfilment centres. Starting with Germany and the UK. Then everything will come together nicely. A great challenge for both STOX Energy Socks and Active Ants.
